Founded in January of 2024 as a concept solo project Zygon Bonnie was born from Gerard's interest in dark electronic music, industrial and metal. The unreleased concept album (All of Space and Time), a love letter to BBCs Doctor Who, took a turn when recording Death Wave's first track Vain. Experimenting with vocals synthesizers and effects; with inspiration from artists like Nine Inch Nails, Combi Christ, Korn, Cradle of Filth, Ministry, Front 242, Aesthetic Perfection, KMFDM, Acylum, Static-X, Death Wave became the sound of Zygon Bonnie. Zygon “Gerard” Bonnie had a career in melodic death metal as cofounder of Hailbrook Hollow along side Garon Howe of (I Declare War). After a tragic loss in the band, Hailbrook took a hiatus and with it the opportunity for new begginings flourished. Gerard frequented the Goth club scene of LA and Riverside falling in love with the sound the vibe and the allure. Zygon Bonnie is music to have your villain arch to, with lyrics that go beyond the social approval and delve into subjects of Sex, Passion, and Horror.
